Has Anybody had experience with DIGILUX bulbs? Reviews please +rep

I went to the hydro store I trust which carries several brands of bulbs
and the owner recommended hortilux over the digilux. I came in to try
the digilux, which was more expensive, but he still sold me on the cheaper
bulb he said was better in his opinion. I still want to try a mixture of the
two out, but from what he says he really prefers hortilux eye.

He did say that he felt his buds were frostier and lighter with the digilux,
and denser/heavier with the hortilux. So if you're growing personals and
weight is only a slight issue then it could be worth it.

oh okay ill definately keep that in mind then! maybe ill order digilux for the veg and hortilux for budding ;) mh/hps

I wonder if this bulb would work on my digital greenhouse ballast. Anyone using this combo?

Im leaning to the digilux side by side there very little in weight differences but in crystal production the digi the way to go!

My local grow shop pushes the Digilux bulbs and he claims his reasons are Digilux has the highest lumens with their 1000w @ 155000 lumens and according to their site the 1000w "enhanced blue spectrum" bulb has 25% more Blue/Violet spectral energy than standard metal halide bulbs. I can't say much else as this is my first time using them personally.

I bought a digilux bulb when I got my 600 and replaced the one that came with it. I run digital ballast so I wanted a bulb made for it, and I noticed the digilux a bit brighter and more true color then yellowish by my other HPS.

Plants seem to love it so I will continue to buy.

how are the digilux working out? i just got a new bulb and grabbed the digilux 1000w hps (w/ enhanced blue) spectrum looks good all around.. nice blue peak. nice orange/yellow peak and nice red peak.. the light definitely shines brighter.. i had to shield my eyes for a few seconds.. and it looks more like natural sun light.
the only concerns i had were a small number of thread/youtube vid of bulbs melting/popping.. but i dont know other conditions that may have added to this possibility. Me personally im using a nextgen digital ballast 1k.. and its the same ballast ive ran for almost 3 years now no problems. so im hoping to have the same luck with this C.A.P. bulb.. at least 6months-1year of use if i need to push it that far. i ran it for one day so far and plants looks very happpy. im hoping i dont experience any of the bulb problems i saw some others had.

I'm in the process of going all digilux. Tryed a few different bulbs like this the best. Hortalux was good. But I change my bulbs out and with the flimsy box I broke 1. Digilux has a nice box that holds up. I don't like CAP but this is the only product I buy.

Well I upgraded to (2) 600s and used just cheaper HPS 600w bulbs. Plants seem to like them better then the Digilux or maybe just more lumens so not really sure. After seeing the plants now like this, I will continue to buy the cheap 25 dollar digital bulbs unless I get a steal on Digilux to make a fair comparasion..
