Has Anyone Used Grow Bags?

I'm thinking about using some of these:

But I'm also thinking about just ordering some white 5 gallon buckets from Home Depot. They aren't food grade, but I'm not too sure how much I really care. People say not to microwave in plastic containers, and I do that all the time.

that's what I use, easier than buckets in my opinion and much easier to store when empty.

i use them and dispose of them afterwards, i buy them in bulk very cheap. although i am changing to hydroponics shortly.

I came up using grow bags, 3gal.. There cheap and effective. used them for 3 years, But i'm bout to put you on game so give me some rep. their called Air Pots. Look them up http://www.airpotgarden.com/ ..They are killing shit !! the problem with the grow bags is , There is no room for roots to breath and no way for oxygen to penetrate your growing medium and the only way you can flush your plant of fertz is through the bottom of the grow bag.With airpots you have mutliple drainage points. i recommend air pots over grow bags because its better for your plant you can re use them - but its up to you.- hope this helps.

I would go with the fabric aero bags or smart pots. The work vastly better than the plastic grow bags and are much more durable.

plastic grow bags can be kind of difficult to work with when the soil starts to compress it gets messy.. My local shop charges .21 for square 1 gal pots or .17 for 1 gal bags.. so that was a no brainer for me.
