I put 4 holes on the bottom sides of the cups. and the bottom of the post is Hydronex soil, Which is mostly Hypnum Peat and Forest products, no nutes or anything added, would that be characterized as mulch?

Ok, well i finally got a thermometer in there. It reads in the low-mid 80's off the the side a little bit, and when they go under the CFL's it reads high 80's possibly more if i left it longer. Which reading is the best. It says on the thermometer package no to put directly in the light. So should i go with the low 80 reading. its is a bit warmer right under my lights. If someone really knowledgeable in this area could Help, i'd appreciate it.
