Heat issue

Hey guys im running a 400w hps in a 36x20x63 tent. 6" inline attached to my carbon filter. Tent is pressurized so i know its moving the air well. Temps were hitting 93-97.sitting at 93 mostly. Should i toss in a booster fan maybe to add a bit of cooler air?. The tent has a 4" hole near the floor.
 
You're going to want to do something..the booster fan may cool it down. You might need to get a cooler or portable a.c.unit. what type of hood are you using?
 
I was looking into them but withe tent being so small and the filter in there i think i would be hard to fit and still be ae to adjust height
 
That cool tube in the pic isn't much bigger if at all then the standard gull wing hoods.. I understand you wanting to limit the size of things going in a small space.. I was just spouting out suggestions..
 
If money isn't of concern maybe consider getting some cob LEDs or a quantum board, something.. they are a little friendlier on the electric bill and run much cooler..

How much negative pressure are we talkin here, for your tent? Is it tight if you pull at it? You need to remember that unless your tent is in a lightproof room, come flower, you're going to have to close any vents, which will only increase temps. I've tried all sorts of different layouts with my equipment. I settled on active 4" 210 intake with a 6 inch 440 pulling through the filter, blowing through my light, and exhausting outside. I found that turning that 6inch fan down to about 50%, reducing negative pressure while still maintaining it, along with the intake from the active intake, gave me the best results. For some reason, when I had the 6inch fan turned all the way up and my tent was sucking in on itself, it was hotter. My theory is, under that kind of pressure, the air is going to flow from point a to point b (point b being exhaust) without having time to disperse in the tent. in other words, a turbulent airflow was created, like a vortex of air, if that makes sense. That's my theory anyway :) If you have variable speed control on your intake fan, try turning it down and getting the pressure down so the air going in isn't immediately sucked out. Counter-intuitive I know, but worth a shot.

When you say pressurized I’m hoping you mean it’s sucking in right? Try moving the intake for the exhaust to the light if not there yet. I use bat wings and have exhaust pipes cut into the tops which works well but the ducted reflector works better ;). Also you may try moving intake to a different, low location or another intake to get better air movement.

What do the Plants look like,If your pulling air from Outdoors and its hot ,then you might wanna think about trying to find a new place to pull fresh air from ,winter i pull from out doors ,summer crawl space where its shaded and nice and cool.If the Plants look happy try not to panic,they will be ok i have grown some lovely bud in rooms that was running hot ,The plants will tell you if there not happy ,Have the oss fan blowing air up towards the filter ,to get hot air out has fast has possible ,With the in let nice and low so there getting good air exchange

Yeah thats the canopy temp.
I am going to buy a booster today and add to the intake. Tent is in the basement so room temps are good. Also wont need to worry about light leak, sealed room.
The plants are still looking good. I havent noticed too much stress on them. Just trying to fix the problem before anything does. Also these are autos. Just over 2weeks
 
I can control temp, don't look to me for humidity help though :P So that room your tent is in is sealed from light? Unzip it halfway or something to get more airflow into there. If its cool in the room then hot when you step in the tent, your ventilation is wrong somewhere.

See thats how i feel. Tent is hot.room is cool. I. Hoping another intake will help.

I think it was this thread, but I'll say it again. if your tent is sucked in, like, bowing, you have too much negative air pressure. Temps actually cool if you keep a little negative pressure. I think it's because the air coming in doesnt get sucked straight out.

It is sucked in a bit.not crazy tight or anything. Ill try and grab a speed controler today aswell
