HELP! harvesting first plant & finding microscopic bugs!

Well, I think I just deleted this post, so I'll try again.
We had severe bud rot on our Gold Leaf plants, and had to harvest one today. Thank goodness the trichomes were starting to turn amber, and good to go.
But, now that we're trimming, we've found small, VERY small worms. They're about 1/4 inch long and wide as a small needle (My battery is out in my camera). Now that I'm doing this, we've only found one, but if there are more, ....OH, also there's like webbing in the rot, too.
Is there any way to get rid of the worms if we find more?
thanks, as usual.

I'm assuming this is an outdoor grow (if it's indoor, step #1: do some serious tidying up). Without pics, hard to tell, but could be bud worm (gasp!). Nasty little buggers. Kill them with fire (OK maybe not fire). Here's a thread on them...

http://kylekushman.com/topic/budworms/

In it, it recommends Azamax. So do I. It'll kill off most any little pesties you have. And it's certified organic, so I wouldn't expect any harmful side effect fr you crop or you (I wouldn't drink it though). Here's some more on it...

Good luck -- make the little bastards pay....

thanks! I kindof jumped the gun. There was only one . I panicked, expecting more, and there's another Gold Leaf with bud rot on it, so there may be more. I'm on my way to check out those threads.
thanks again.

Oh, and from looking at the site, it's not a bud worm. Yea!

you might give your buds a wash with some lemon juice and baking soda....i do it every harvest now and i love it. You need 3 clean 5 gallon buckets. Some folks fill them all up with room temperature water (NO CHLORINE/CHLORAMINE), others do a room temperature bucket, a hot bucket and a cold bucket. I don't have a heater so its room temp for me all across.

1C baking soda, 1C lemon juice in the first bucket. Regular water (RO is best, i use good well water) in the next two. Line 'em up.

I trim off fan leaves to keep bulk down in the bucket and i only do one branch in each hand at a time.

You don't need a ton of force, and you don't want to smack your buds into the sides of the bucket, but after you've trimmed off your fan leaves, dunk your buds into the first bucket 5 times. you only need enough force to enter the water. after the 5th dunk hold them under and gently swirl and twirl them to rinse out any dirt, hair, dead skin cells, microscopic bugs that got past your filters, etc. This won't harm your buds, and won't damage your trichomes (less'n you knock your colas against the bucket sides). Hang to dry per usual.

be easy, good luck
:peace:
