Hello i would like your help if you know what san pedro is if this cactus is one of them or a related family..

it could be, cant tell for sure. wait till the flower opens and if it looks like this it is san pedro

I don' think it is the one you seek.

The spines don't look right and they seem to be the wrong number.
 
so it seems it didnt taste bitter but slimmy as hell!! Imma try the powder extract n see... As i dont believe its poisonous

Not nasty enough to be a Cholla. Think of a vegetable teddy bear on bath salts, coming for your face. That's a cholla. cn

omg omg omg sandburs. Nature's caltrops.
One spring I eliminated all the sandburs in the power line right-of-way by our first house. It was great, until the neighborhood kids built a bike jump there. Lotsa noise, swearing, even a boombox. No good deed goes unpunished. cn
