Hello guys,
i have one seed (White Widow)
what cfl lights should i buy!
my growing area is not that big!!

well deppends on how big u want yr plants.also u need to know what the domanted side of the plants strain is also.but to start off get yrslef 3 26 watt 6500k cfl that will get u started.
 
youll need 6500k bulbs for veg and 2700k for flowering, i found 2 packs of 2700k 23w for .99 cents at marc's if you have those where your at
 
6500k are a lot more in price than 2700k ,like a 4 pack of them r right around 13 bucks ,really if u think about it not all that bad unless yr poor like me lol!
 
i got mine from home depot just make sure they are the 2700k and 6500k i like to mix them both at the same time and also if u have the space for a small fluorescent tube light i would get one they have them at home depot aswell.
 
Go to your local home depot. Go to lighting. Then find your cfls. I would say get some 26 watt 6500k for veg. I recommend 4 so you get a total of 100 watts. Start your plant on 18 hours of light at 6 hours dark. When you decide to start to flower switch it to 12/12. And change all your bulbs to 2700k soft white cfls. Good luck with your grow. STAY HIGH!!!

yeh goto local home depot get one 100w daylight 6500K or 6400K CFL thats all u'll need for now

yes a HPS / MH would do wonder's over CFL's. right now if you are doing one plant you can get away vegging with two 26W actual / 100W equivalent 6500k cfl's. get a outlet to light socket and a y adapter and place it right above the top of your sprout. (if you do not know what these are let us know we can help) you can easily get away with vegging for a couple weeks with the two cfl's. once ready switch the lights over to the 2700k lights and buy as many as you will need to place light around your plant. EX: one on top, 3-4 around the sides, more is better in this case for sure.

Stick with just grabbing some light adapters, any extension cords you will need, and two 5600k cfl's. it will allow you to get your foot into the door and get your started, final bill shouldn't be over 25 dollars.

for what it is worth: if your are serious about growing and are serious about wanting to spend money i would consider a 150w hps or something along the lines of it. i picked mine up for 100 bucks locally and there is so much of a difference between it and cfl's. you wouldn't need it for another 3-4 weeks depending on how long you plan to veg for. I went out initially and spent a little under 100 bucks total for my first grow and ended up buying a hps soon after since the cfl's just were not giving results i wanted after vegging period was finished.

You want to go by the actually wattage of the CFL's and not equivalent wattage. You should have about 100 watts per plant (roughly). Here are a few links that may help, and keep costs low. If you put three of the "Y" adapters together you can make a four light holder for very cheap.
