Help with double potting... need help fast

I know your supposed to cut the bottom out when you double pot but my plastic 3 gallon pot have 12 half inch holes on the bottom and 6 1x1/2 square holes on the sides at the very bottom... you would think with all those holes you wouldn't have to cut the bottom out... I hope thats the cast because I don't like transplating large plants... any help would be appriciated greatly

*Bump* I really need help because my white widow plant is in a 3 gallon pot almost 4 weeks old and 7 1/2 inches tall... I already see roots at the bottom and they are in a 3 gallon container.... I don't understand how it could of filled that whole pot up so fast... dose this mean I have to repot of do the double potting? I need to know if the holes in my pots (which the plants are in) will allow me to just place the pot into ...say a 5-7 gallon... plz help me out with this one

doesn't sound like it's super pressing. there's a good chance you're just seeing primary roots reaching out. good rule of thumb i've heard is 1 foot of growth per gallon container give or take. no worries giving those secondaries time to reach out.

Thank god... I fucking knew they couldn't outgrown that pot so fast...lol had me a little worried there for a min... oh and I found out you don't have to cut the bottom out, you can just stack it... these pots have tons of large drain holes...or so people have told me... can anyone confirm this...
