I go upstairs to answer the door and there is a local policeman at the door telling me I'm parked illegally on the street and that I should move my car.

It seems my 85 year old neighbor, who is undergoing chemo for pancreatic cancer saw the cop stop, and went outside and started chatting him up. The next thing you know the cop is giving me a break on a parking ticket.
Life is good. I love my neighbors.
