Hey, New here

Hi everyone. I'm pretty new here and just want to thank you all for providing lots of useful information. I have a lot of knowledge about drugs like opium and a lot of other similar opiates on top of knowledge on Cannabis and the medical uses. I have been a patient for over a year now because I have migraines, anxiety, and depression. Cannabis almost completely relieves everything. Obviously it doesn't just magically take your depression away but it gets you through a bad depression cycle. If your someone who is on a constant roller coaster of moods it is also an excellent mood stabilizer.

These days Cannabis is the only thing I use. Much better in my opinion. I have no problem taking days/weeks off and have never experienced any withdrawal symptoms.
If anyone wants to chat, PM me or send me a message on aim.:weed:

Sorry for digging this up but if you are having trouble sleeping when you don't have it I am guessing you have a sort of "night time ritual" and your mind is waiting for that feeling before it lets itself go to sleep. Just my thoughts. Another possibility could be you have legit insomnia and just go to the doc and ask for something to ease your mind and help you sleep. If you tell him/her that you are a responsible marijuana patient and don't do any other drugs they are completely understanding. And you know why? Because it is an extremely safe drug to use and it is not addicting in the traditional way. It is not physically addictive, Period. It is psychologically addictive but aren't most good things in life worth doing over again? I noticed that the psychologically addictive aspect is not like the cravings for nicotine but more like the feeling that yo get when you can't wait to get home and take a nice hot shower after a long days work. Where as with a nicotine craving all you can think about is getting smokes.

I hope that helped some people understand the feelings they have. If you find yourself constantly looking for a "high" whether it be alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, opiates, cocaine, ect. you are an addict and you need to seek help.

Unfortunately my mother who never did any drugs was prescribed 120 vicodins 5/500 (for headaches!) every two weeks for 6 months because of a doctor not paying attention and she became addicted obviously. By the time she was caught she was taking 15-20 a day. She was caught committing prescription fraud and the DEA did an investigation and I am hoping they aren't going to prosecute. She checked herself into a detox center on her own and I have learned much about addictions and met a lot of heroin/cocaine/methamp addicts when I went to visit. It was horrible to see what these people were going through and I want everyone to know there is a fine line between using Cannabis and using other drugs. My Mom is doing better now but she is on a drug called suboxone and I have been monitoring her as closely as possible because it is addicting in itself. It's hard living away from home and constantly thinking about if my Mom is ok.

How to tell if your addicted, not to just marijuana but to the general feeling of being "high" whether it be coke, meth, or even alcohol:
-Unable to go a day or two without thinking about drugs or how your going to get them.
-Stealing to pay for your habit.
-Avoiding gatherings with family and friends for reasons related to wanting to use drugs.
-The thought of running out of some kind of drug terrifies you.
-You subject your body to unhealthy OTC alternative highs to substitute for what you don't have.

And obviously never use drugs as an escape. Face your problems head on and get it over with. I didn't use any drug, even marijuana, when my mom was in detox because I felt that I needed to let my body and mind overcome the feelings so I was at peace instead of postponing them and making things worse because using drugs as an escape accomplishes nothing and most of time it causes more problems than you had.

So sorry for dragging this out but I think it is a useful little article and I hope it helps some people. And to clarify the message I am trying to send cannabis needs to be used in moderation and if you can't control that then you need to seek help not just for yourself but for everyone around you because addicts hurt everyone around them and I don't want anyone to have to go through what I did.
