there is a good amount of info in the grow FAQ....................the loft vents outside if you want every one in your neighborhood to know what your up to vent into the loft

Recently I broght home a stray baby goat I found. My wife raised a fit! I already had a place to take it to, the next day, but I didn't tell her. Instead I decided to pull a prank on her.

She said

What are you planning on doing with that goat?
I replied
I am going ot make a pet out of it.
and she asked
And where do you plan on keeping it?
and I replied
I'm going to make a house pet of it and let him sleep at the foot of our bed everynight.
she says
Oh, no you're not
and I say
Oh, hell yea, I am.
and she says
Oh No you're not.
and I say
Yes I am, I'll just tie him to the foot of the bed and he can sleep under the bed everynight.
And she says
Well, what about our love making?
and I say
What about it?
She says
You know, the smell?
and I answer

Well, he'll just have to get used to it like i did.

i understand this but i was seeing if anyone else has tried this vent to the attic without an extractor method and if it was suffice for a cupboard grow or helped with the odour

I bought a five gallon bucket from Walmart, and put a ten dollar round fan in it, from Walmart, blowing face down. I filled 1/3 of the bucket with cat litter, and poured URINE BE GONE on the cat litter and a bottle of FREBREEZE in it too. One inch above the top of the cat litter, on the sides, I cut 12 holes, all around the middle of the bucket.
The fan sucks the air into the bucket and blows it on the cat litter and then escapes out the holes on the sides, smelling fresh.
It does not 100% remove all of the smell, but it sure made a big difference. With a $39 Ionizer and a small carbon filter, I can invite the pastor over to dinner and he doesn't smell anything.
