Home made ventilation not cutting it

I have a grow room 4x4x8 lit by a hps 1000 watt under my basement stairs.

I built a peice of crap home made ventilation system with a 8" desk fan, a trash bag and some ducting.

The ducting is good ( 30 feet of 3" dryer vent tube), it runs from my grow room through the wall, above the drop ceiling, and connects to my dryer vent going outside. I had to use 3" inch tube because of the space in the drop celing.

My problem is that the grow room is too loud and too hot because of the poor ventilation. You can hear the fans at my front door which is directly above my grow room.

I need an inline fan that is quiet, powerful and small enough to be transitioned down to 3" dryer tube venting.

Any Suggestions?

I was looking at valuline fans but not sure.

Thanks

go to menards or homedepot i picked up and inline fan from there made for helping move air in ducts on long runs i think it cost 20 bucks if that

Those inline duct fans have a little noise to them, look into acoustic materials, any fan i think thats gonna move considerable air is gonna make some noises.....

Look for larger fans = lower rpm for the same amount of air movement = quieter....i'd go with 8" or larger for being very quiet.

those inline duct booster fans do work, but they r a little loud. If u do go with one of those, get the two or three speed, idk if they make three, but u c what im sayin. I have a 6" single speed, inline duct fan pushing thru 4", and i barely get by on odor control. But it does move good air even thru carbon pre filter.
