Ive noticed that they are pretty close but you gotta remember bigger light more power and bigger spread so if you run both lets say a 300w Quantuam compare to this light the bigger loght is definitely a bit hotter directly under the light but the heat made from the Quantuam board driver and everything is hotter than bar atyles

Man that sucks big time but I won a light from Hortibloom almost 2 years ago and it's working like a champ and I love the cob lights best of luck to you with all of your endeavor
