How can I maximise results with what I have.

Need some help folks. My second DWC grow. First went relatively well, learnt a lot. Hazey Jones (L) Amnesia Haze (R) 1m x 1m tent. 300w Mars Hysro LED. Some Topping and LST done. Canna Nutes (Veg) A+B ~700PPM. 5.8 PH. Plan on Flipping next days.
I get to this stage and I feel relatively overwhelmed. Bits going everywhere! What can I do now to attain a better final result? One of the drawbacks of my setup is lack of access, as it is difficult to get under the back plants. One of the few drawbacks of DWC I've found. Thanks

You've got yourself stuck with the SCROG. Watch the back plants for problems associated with heat or poor air flow. Try to really spread the branches out and suggest thinning some scrawny branches.

Looks pretty damn good to me

Did you get at least 300 grams of dry herb on your last run? If you did, you can probably get the same amount with just one plant in dwc. It will save you some work. If you want more gramage you need more light power.

You'll develop a love/hate relationship with the SCROG. Unzipping all 3 sides while watering and pruning ect will help, but yeah most of the time it's a shit relationship. (imo)

Botanicare CalMag+ 5 ml/gal every batch you mix when running LEDs.


Calmag+ will also include Nitrogen which should help with the limey colored plants. Get that chlorophyll absorbing the light energy!

Put the lights as close as possible (per manufacturer instructions) to the plants during bloom phase.
Increase your nutrient feed strength every week until tips of leaves begin to burn then stop there, reduce the last feed that caused tips to burn by 10% whatever it was, ride that to the end then flush for a week with pure water before harvest, enjoy!

@hotrodharley I took your advice immediately, now think I have one bud (only)
happening in every square that is reachable, and cut the scrawny limbs. (Thinning the scrawny branches is a tough task, I grew it, now I am cutting it, sort of thing.) I tell myself it is for the greater good.)

@DreHaze. Previous grow I gained 250g of smokable product, though that weight was mostly due to my lack of trimming. (Trimmed like I was still in the 70's) but I get what you are saying grams/watts. I'd be happy with 250g again, especially if I was proud of the buds. Smokable, though not something to be proud of. I get what you are saying re grammage and also one plant. I am after quality, more so than quantity. It's a hobby for me, and like everything, want to do the utmost best. Hence asking and learning. Thanks, your words really helped.

@Syntax747 haha. Mostly it is a highly frustrated relationship (never liked the word hate) with the SCROG especially as I am unable to unzip those other zips on this MarsHydro tent. Not their fault, just the location I am forced to place it in. Open from the front only. Last grow I used 2 SCROG's, though hopefully I can get away with just one this time. They are a real pain in the back!

@calvin.m16 Wow, thanks mate, for I know what you had to do to do what you did. Appreciated. Just BEFORE I read your post I did up my PPM's on my Canna Aqua Vega A+B nutrients from around 700ppm to 850 ppm, inclusive 10mls CaMg to my 60 litre DWC tanks. Also added 5mls OxyPlus. H2O2 (Hydrogen peroxide) Helps keep my DWC system clean.

Then I flipped the light to 12- 12. Ran those Veg nutes for 2-3 days than today changed over to Canna Aqua Flores (A+B). Presently PPM's are at 830, PH 6.2, which I will test again tomorrow and perhaps adjust to 5.8 which is where I like them to sit. Let the CaMg settle.
Lights are at the appropriate level as you sugested and when things settle I will increase the "food" to help "find" the max level.
MarsHydro 300W light, 2 fans, one up, one low. 1m x 1m x 1.8 tent. DWC, growing 1 x Amnesia Haze and 1 x Hazey Jones.
