How can I spray neem oil with temps throughout the summer over 80 degrees ?

Should I just wait for a cool spell? I've sprayed once for a preventative measure and would like to do a follow up spray. I don't have any major pest problems, just a few leaves that have small holes. Never been able to actually see any pests, and I have inspected my plants many times (almost daily) . I think the damage that has been done ( minimal) happens at night when insects fly in and then fly away. I don't see the temps dropping for a while. I really like the way my plants looked and did notice less damage after the first spray. The temps will drop below 80 at night but during the day they shoot up to 80 to 100. I read once that you shouldn't spray if temps are going to reach above 80. Any suggestions? This is my first outdoor grow.

Spray at night/In the evening after the plants are out of direct sunlight.

Do it just before sunset, it will dry by morning, and shouldnt cause any problems.

ETA: That being said..... diatomaceous earth spread around your plants will help with flying insects.

Yeah. Well, we still have all of July, August, and September...lol...No worries, the heat WILL be back...haha

I dunno. I alternate my sprays between neem, safer insecticide soap, BT, and spinosad. I try not to mix them....

Yeah. I still need to do a final transplant too, out of these 7 gallon pots and in to 20's...I just don't wanna do it during a heat wave.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll wait til it gets below 80 this evening... Usually not til after dark- 9:30 or 10.

Maybe I better not. I get lazy and wanted to get it all done at once. My home depot quit stocking BT and concentrated spinosad. Have to try ace or something.

I can't find concentrated spinosad, I just buy a bunch of the premix and dump it in my sprayer. But I got the concentrated BT at OSH...Orchard Supply Hardware.

It's the direct sunlight is all. I spray right before dark regardless of the temps. I hate to gas em when they are sleeping and droopy.

Should I spread the dia. earth around the perimeter of my beds or directly on top of my plant soil?

You're good to go as soon as the plants are out of direct sunlight. It's just gonna get cooler from now till tomorrow morning.

hmmmm ? Home depot used to stock the Montery concentrate spinosad. My local store doesn't have spinosad or BT. I bought the last two bottles of BT from an out of town store and captain jacks Spinosad but it was kinda expensive .
