How do you transplant from a large pot

I need to transplant to a different pot the one that I am using is burning my plant but it is huge. So how can you safely remove a plant from a large pot. It is way too big to turn upside down and tap.

how big is the pot? What kind and color is the pot? How old is the plant? Its probably not the pot thats burning your plants.It may be to late to tranplant depending on how long it has been in there. a little more info on lighting and nutes could also be the reason for burning. good luck.

You could just cut the bottom of the pot off... and half bury it in a bigger pot...

Pot in Pot some folks call it...

And the roots will just escape into the new pot without stress...

I could except it is terra cotta

The only thing I do with dirt is sweep it
