How explain how a tiny stem can make gigantic buds in proportion?

Ive seen alot of weed that has alot of weight and dense mass but it will have the smallest of stems. I have some blue dream from the club and it has these little stems and dense weighty buds. I apparently have these exact same genetics in my grow room. Is this a genetic trait? Or was it most likely grown hydroponicly? Will my plants exhibit this kind of growth in organic soil?

Some strains inherently develop like that under the proper conditions. Usually they require stakes or ScrOG to keep them from breaking. Generally though, a bigger, thicker stem is better because it means nutrient uptake is more. Heavy buds on small stems can sag away from the light or break off.

You can also make stems stronger by hitting them with steady wind. Hope this somewhat helps, I can't tell you about the strain itself.

Never thought of that....I assumed it meant good genetics. Large yielders I guess. I can see the difference.
