Higher screens make for easier watering and maintenence, but lower screens result in shorter veg times.
I personally would decide my net height based on the size of my grow. Micro or small grows would be as low as possible, but larger grows would require a bit of height so I could reach under the canopy for watering and leaf removal etc.
