Many variables, but a good rule of thumb is feed every other watering. But, learn to read your plants, that's actually the best strategy.

best thing to do assuming you are getting started is journal. like document everything you do when you do it. that way if nothing else you can course correct with the same strain and environment the next round. a rule of thumb I hear is go 50% of the manufactures recommended rates…but that is not exact either…more like ya gotta learn to read the plant.

Depends on factors.
How much nutrients is in your ‘soil’ mix?
Is it soil or just cheap potting mix?
If it’s soil you shouldn’t need much more than water? Why do you have to ‘feed’ soil?
If you want it simple you probably need a consistent ‘soil mix’ that you only need to water. Then your only concern is - is the soil wet enough.
Have a look at what subcool did with his supersoil recipe. Lots of people follow that protocol.
Otherwise just keep your plants watered enough by lifting the pot to check its weight.
Then when they get light and dry water them. Then after that when they look a bit yellow and hungry add some ‘food’ to the watering.
I like to keep it simple, I mix coco with peat and ewc, this should be a nice mix for vegging any plant at good conditions on only RO water or even dirty tap (works fine with even 0.9 ec from tap) after they bushed up I start feeding according to my water starting point, let's say I use RO, so when I start feeding I give 0.3 ec the first time, 0.5 the 2nd and so on, I move up or down according to the plants not the charts, and also move slowly in order to give the roots time to get used to the new solution.
Roots love consistency, so I maintain in each watering the same or a lil up or down feed.
Flushing will shock the roots, overfeeding will shock the roots and the plant, avg consistency is the key.

Andwer : it depends - if your medium has no food in it, you probably need to feed every time you water. If your medium does have some food, you can feed more intermittently or feed every time but with a smaller dose.

So many variables. Hot (Enriched,ammended etc) soil + BIG pot = Long time without any additional nutrients needed.
All my plants go 4-6 weeks before external nutrients are needed (from sprout), in 3 gallon pots when using FFOF, or Coast of Maine Stonington blend.
In 7 gallon pots, they almost make it to harvest on soil alone.

This is an easy one, read the instructions on the packaging and start at half strength the first couple of feeds. If you’re top dressing start feeding on schedule.

I only feed nutrients during flowering and my results are amazing I use living soil all that extra stuff is useless
