How much nutes to feed?

Okay, I have the starter nutrition kit and it has exactly how much nutrition I should be putting in per gallon of water... but how much of that should I be pouring into my plants? Should I just be pouring it in exactly as I would be if I were watering the plants?

it's this thing
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001XGP32

Anyways, the mixing chart that came with it told me to put the following:
3tsp BC Boost (3% N, 2% K, 3% Ca)
1.5tsp BC Grow (1% N, 3% P, 6% K, 1% Mg, 1.5% S)
0.5tsp TA B-1 Red (1% N, 1% P, 1% K)
.5 tsp MagiCal (2% N, 3% Ca, 1.5% Mg)
2tsp SugarDaddy (1.5% Mg, 1.8% S)

I mixed that all in a one gallon carton of water. So do I pour it into my plants as if I were watering them? Thanks

That stuff is great. First, get a TDS pen meter and a PH tester. Then follow directions. Just remember to add Boost to water FIRST BEFORE ADDING ANYTHING ELSE. Pour 'til slight runoff show up through bottom drainage.

I use enough to get about 30% of what was added to drain out the bottom of the planter every time I water or feed.

When I have say, 10L of media I need about 3L of solution to totally saturate it. Everything on top of that 3L is going to drain out the bottom. So if I used 4L of solution, 1L would drain out, and that would be 25% drainage. Thus, I use a little bit more, adding up to about 4.5L.

If I used 4.5L of solution then I'd want about 1.5L coming out the bottom as runoff. Always remove this runoff as it will contain excess and buildup you don't want being absorbed by the media as it dries, as well as over-saturating the lower inch of the media and suffocating the roots.

The solution you described is going to be VERY strong. Over 2.0ec likely. Unless your plants are very large and very lush then this solution is too strong. You could cut that in half (add it to another gallon of water) and you'd still have the same nutrient ratios but at a lower strength. I really suggest you add at least 2L of water to that solution to dilute it a bit. Another gallon would be better.

You probably need 2 gallons of solution to get enough run off anyway... so diluting should work out nicely.

Hey, thanks a lot for your help. My plants are currently 2 weeks old and are barely about 3-5 inches tall. I'll dilute it more like you said.
