How much weed does a "real" client smoke in a year

I see some research out of Colorado as to how much the average user of marihuana smokes in a year and the amount of market penetration that they expect in the general population.
I like the numbers they talk about, deliberately omitted here so as to not skew the results, but wonder what others feel is the range a marihuana smoker would consume in a year?

Thanks in advance

Why are you limiting consumption to smoking alone? Lots of people ingest in a variety of ways so do you think those amounts might skew your numbers?

If you are an RSO user than a gram a day equals about a half pound a month to produce that amount. None of my patients who are smokers use over an ounce a month.

Very good point! I guess I should have asked how much does the average person use per year. I am referring to dried bud only, but people use that in many ways.

1/2 a pound a month for smoke, another half a pound a month for all else, all without financial considerations, if I were paying $5 per gram, it would be have to be considerably less, by -80 % at least. Please private message me your numbers if it is not too much trouble, sounds interesting.

What exactly is a "real" client?
I believe that the conundrum we face is that it's extremely hard to put a number on exactly how much we need to use. One day I may use nothing and the next I may need 20+ grams of bud (refined into BHO) for effective treatment of my condition. Treatment of ailments using MMJ is extremely variable from patient to patient/ ailment to ailment. Finding the perfect strains for each condition/patients needs is ,in my opinion, more key than higher dosing with the wrong strains. This is one of the areas where I feel the new program is going to fall very short. What company is going to feasibly carry enough strains to completely, effectively treat every client of theirs? "Generalizations" , so to speak, of strain selections will have to be made to made the buisness model feasible. This may shortchange clients and possibly render mmj a non-useful treatment plan for people who used to have the perfect strains for them.

Sorry if I am off the mark with my insight into the "markets" future. I am no professional or politician who has all the answers..

To try and answer your exact question, my script is for 7g/day so 5.62lbs/year. Give or take..

I get what your saying about LP's not having enough varieties, especially at first, but don't you think the labels with actual percentages on them will quickly teach patients what works for them. No more guessing about what your getting. For example here right now, there is 3 different kinds of the "green crack" strain, all grow and smoke differently with the same name. Not helpful to patients.

Exactly my point Koot, I know and watch for specific phenotypes within my strains. This attention to detail is what I feel is required in order to be able to dose oneself in a totally consistent manor.the only way to know what works is through extensive testing/sampling and record keeping. Keeping track of flowering times and other details of the grow/environment.
