Does anyone know how to make a plant branch when its a seedling? iheard sum thing about after the 2nd set (the 3 leaves)?

Ive found they branch when they want too.thought of making small incisions before but dont want to kill em.all i can say is be patient.theyll be 8-12 inches or more before they really start branching off!!!!!!!
i may have misunderstood you though.if youre talking about topping the plant its different.i think it decreases cola density.did a fim top on my dro now i have three medium tops instead of one fat top main cola.:blsmoke:

ya i kinda knew bout topping and supercropping i seen on here a pic of a plant it might have been a clone it was small tho and they just cut the top off when it was young and two came out of the one

FIM topping is a way of topping that creates multiple branches.some say fim staands for fuck,i missed.anyway i wouldnt do any topping until the plant is at least a foot high.read the marijuana growers bible, you can download it from limewire free.there are a few more pubs on limewire too that deal with growing. If ya cant find em ill email em too ya.peace:joint::mrgreen:

FIMing is supposed to be a milder form of pruning, and that's how one forces any plant to grow laterally. This changes its natural form a bit. I have FIM'd my plants once, not all of them though, just to see what happened.
Of the 26 plants (13 in first stage, 14 - 1 in second stage), 6 were FIM'd, and 5 of those 6 that were randomly chosen to FIM as an experiment turned out the be the biggest, most vigorous plants. I will now FIM them all.

Be careful, some strains don't really like to be topped. But, how you grow is up to you.

Yes, I've read that as well. But, I'm growing from seeds that came out of the bags I got from some friends. They have no idea what the strain is, and I guess they either can't or won't ask "their guy" (the one who grew it and didn't catch the male in time!). That's also why I randomly chose the plants to be FIM'd, and didn't FIM them all -- so I could see how they would react. Since there was such a noticeable difference, I think that I can say that they appear to have responded well to the stress.
