I've started growing about 2weeks ago my plant is now 1 inch tall. i have a bomb shelter that im growin in, it has good ventilation, and the vaporiser fills very well in this room, almost like a rain forest. i have a table with a square opening under it, i've placed a vaporiser under it with my plant inside a upside down box covering the opening, my plant is on top of table near the square opening, the light i'm using is a helical 120 volt. is this an efficient set up? will using the vaporizer have a real effect? is the light type efficient for this stage? how many hours should i have the light on? also is there any other tips on how many times to water it or special care? any advice will be appreciated, thanx...;-) i also have some seeds that are taking along time to germinate, i've tried soaking them for six hours then putting the the in a wet paper towel inside of a sealed tuperware, and seti on top of my router to condesate. been almost 2 wks. are these just no good or am i doing somthing wrong?

wow a bomb shelter thats fuckin sweet, well you have it pretty good but u dont need the vaporizer to be that close to the plant or u could cause fungus, u also dont need the box just space and the lights, yes if the seeds dont sprout after 4 days tops they're dead, u probably over watered them a lot of people do that the fist time (i did). just get a plastic container (as small as possible) put the seeds between two paper towel peices and slowly drip water on the towelettes until they are damp to the edges (this should only take 4-5 average drops max depending on the size of the paper towel pieces). only check once a day maximum. once you can see about a quarter inch of root plant in a 6" potter give it a little water and wait for it to sprout (check daily and keep moist). use super soil and mix in some perlite for better water retention.

GOOD LUCK!!

oh i forgot do u mean 120 watt? cause theres high pressure sodium, metal halide, compact flourescents, and incandescent. so i'd have to know that to give u an analysis on your lighting situation

thanx. yea i probably watered them to much. o and about the vaporizer, i wish I would have got this earlier because my plant died yesterday.... i was so bummed... but all is well... trial and error. im just gonna keep the vaporizer out of the equation now lol, sounded like a good idea at the time.the light is a household light helicali 120v.
