How's this bud looking for turning week 5?

She looks really good bro...nice trichome coverage, that trim would make great hash. They could be a lil bigger but other than that you have yourself some grade A. Great 1st grow

Thanks guys! Yeah I figured they are a little small, but that was probably the average bud, with a lot more buds doing better than that, but there were a lot of leaves in the way, so I just snapped a pic of this one. They have another 4 weeks until I will probably chop them, and I'm going to add some koolbloom to the AN ph perfect sensi bloom (big bud and overdrive) that I currently have. I decided not to switch to flowering nutrients until about week 2.5, cause I heard of a guy who did that, and didn't get bigger buds upfront, but in the end the leaves were healthier, and so towards the end of fattening up, they didn't have problems photosynthesizing.

These plants are real sativa's, so I figure the 8 week minimum for blue dream will probably be stretched to 9-10 weeks, which I don't have a problem with. Plus I'll be monitoring the trichomes so I can pull all of it before 20% turns amber.

Well sounds like your good...i would look into this for flower, MOAB or Mother Of All Blooms is 1-52-42 and is highly recomended and is used the first time 2-3weeks into flower. Some nitrogen is good in the beginning of flower but the end you'll want to cut out most N at about week 5-6 in your case i'd say 6 since its sativa dominant and probably will take closer to 10 weeks and often even more...but 20% amber maybe 5, you like that uplifting clear headed high huh?

Yeah I'll probably do the majority of it at 5% or so, just barely turning amber, but I was thinking of letting some of the smaller buds fatten up for a last week in order to get a bigger harvest, so I figured that they might have a little more amber than the others (or maybe I'm wrong and they are still less mature than the top colas), but idk, does that sound like a good idea?

What percentage of Sativa is Blue Dream? Because with high ratio Sativa's the longer you leave them the more potent they get, instead of becoming more couch locked. Personally it would be quite cool getting different matured bud, then when you grow next you can cut earlier/later if you want :)
