Hows this set up??

Just wondering if im looking at the right things....

Im basically thinking about getting a digital ballast and buying a MH bulb for growing and a HPS bulb for flowering, and just switching the bulbs around when i change stages...sound good?

Do these ballast produce alot of heat? or is the whole point of them to not produce heat? also i will purchase a grow tent and was wondering if they come with vent wholes so it is easy to add ventilation,?

if they dont just cut some exhaust holes!! yeah sounds fine .. set it up..

To save money by a roll of white plastic instead of a tent. Cut it and staple it up. Use your extra money for nutes, you'll need it. Also consider using C02.

nah he wont need co2 untill he starts flowering, as far as nutes if hes growing hydroponicly than yes ..if hes planning a soil grow you wont have to worry about nutes for a while. but panda film is a good idea!!

yeah im thinking im going to do a soil grow for my first attempt. Probably going to purchase them lights next week some time and get my growing on its way.....if it goes well i might buy myself 2 tents and get one going with the clones...getting excited just thinking about starting......

soil is almost retard proof..(almost)... very forgiving ..dont cheap out on the type of soil you buy ... i reccomend buying foxfarm ocean forrest potting soil .. you wont be disapointed!!

kl..and wat do i mix that with?? sand? perlite?.....and then the nutrients..am i looking for stuff rich in potassium and nitrogen or sumfin??
