HPS burnt top of plant

I woke up today to the smell of burning leaves then went to my grow cupboard to see lots of smoke and the top of my white widow plant burnt. Its about 15% burnt and i cut of all the burnt bits, will this effect growth at all? its in about 3 weeks into flowering.

Yes, the burnt areas will not recover but the rest of the plant should be fine.

I would imagine those bits are probably dead.

It will definately affect growth. The plant will probably need at leat 24 hours to recover and that 15% wont grow now.

I would have topped them, cutting down pass any burning. That's just me. So now you know how hot those HPS get ?
