Hps grow light question

Hey guys, I was wondering if a 400 Watt hps light with a ballast would be fine in a normal home plug in socket? help would be nice.

Yeah, it's fine. I ran that way for months adding in two fans on the same outlet.

I always use a sure protector but I'm sure it doesn't matter.

Check the wall socket you plug it into for the number of outlets on the circuit. I mean your 15amp circuit might have like two rooms on it or it might be just that room, you need to find out.

If you have little or no outlets using the draw then you're fine.
