i have a 150 watt light fixture but the bulb is getting old and im thinking that i should change it out soon to get the most out of it im looking for a new bulb and was wondering if any of you know if there is one out there that is better then the rest i heard a while ago that they came out with a new bulb that did a better job and was really ment for growing was i informed right or am i wrong also if you know anything about what i am asking can you please leave me information on where i can get one (on the web) and what the price range should be thanks
 
nobody has any thing to say not nothing? i know some of you have heard of what im talking about any info at all would do me good
 
use a MH bulb for veg and a HPS bulb for flowering...

i think hortilux makes the most expensive ( possibly best ) bulbs

Its easy enough to find a 150w HPS bulb online or even at a hardware store. But to run a HPS you are going to need a ballast aswell as a fixture. If your fixture is just a plain 150w fixture, get a 150w CFL. You can find these very easy online aswell.
 
you may be limited with the 150w hps, those nice grow bulbs probably only come in larger sizes, 400w and up
1000bulbs.com has a pretty good selection of hps bulbs with different kelvins, which may give little more choice
