Hi I've been runnin hydro for about a year now and was wondering in people opinion what is the most important thing with hydro beside light and of course as clean of water to start out with for your roots safety.

I was thinking it was nutes but I saw a guys without any nutes and it was wonderful. I am wondering do I need to prune more Or what? cause I wanna make sure I get a better avg though 56grams a plant isn't a bad avg I know hydro can do 4 with some sutes pretty easy too.

Especially in a 1 1/2-2 mo. veg, and same if not 1-2 weeks longer flower.

Just wondering If I need more light or what will post a pic if needed but again main ? is what do you think is the most important thing in hydro that makes the plants grow biggest/strongest /most yeild.etc.

Thanks for the info and glad to be part of the community been reading for quite a bit.

loooool there is another thread asking if nutes are needed for hydroponics, maybe its his cousin. i think when u say hydroponics u are talking about indoor growing under lights. if he isnt using any nutes he is growing in soil. it is imposiible to grow hydro without nutes becasue there is no nutes in the growing medium so the roots would have no food.

i believe the most important thing for gettnig bigger yields with hydroponics
1. a large healthy root mass.
2. longer veg time.
3. more light.
all these magic additives and boosters and molases and pissing on your plants will not make a difference compared to adding another light or vegging longer.

i grow hydro and pull between 1 to 2 pounds per plant. by following those 3 things i outlined.

nice so the line I use will work but I was told that my ppm was off I am running at aroun 500 gunna move to 800 this flush since I am in flower. I use dutch gold more nutes less cleaning.

if a person didn't use reverse osmosis wouldn't there be minerals in the tap water im pretty sure you can get roots off of that. "just saying"

So in veg thinking like 2-3 months then I am wanting to do the every 2months as weekly though more regular was too much work. I can switch to 3 months easy though on this next one.

Light ok so my spacing is 28foot wide by 30 feet long I have 4hps running 1ooow red spectrum and 2 hps 600 watts in the middle of the the two lines or rail lights.using the math i've seen this should easily support the 28 buckets.

Thanks for all the help and look forward to posting more.
will be starting a grow journall so I can post pics as I dont know if I can here lol >.< noob

Thats not much light for a 28x30 room.

Minerals off tap water ? Sure there are 'some' but unless you have your water anylized, you dont know whats in it, and even then, definitely not enough to support a full grow from start to finish.

Longer veg times are not necessary, it's all relevant to how many plants you have and watts per sq ft. Dont waste space.
