I got seeds by mistake (1st grow)

I never thought of growing before. I usually just buy some hash every month or so.

This summer i went to zanzibar for vacation and it was great, the weed is sooo good.. i used to keep the weed in a small bag.. i dont have much experience with weed because i only used to smoke hash back home...
Anyway, after 2 weeks of smoking in paradise i threw everything away and came back home...

While i was unpacking i saw the little bag were i used to keep the weed and when i emptied it i found little seeeeds.. thats when i started searching the net and learning more about growing (i learned most from THIS site).. i didnt even know if those were actually the seeds.. there were about 6 seeds.

Soo i went and bought a cabinet and i put it in my bathroom were the door can be locked all the time, and mounted a flourecent light inside..
I germinated 2 seeds by the paper towel method and i put 1 seed in a cup till it sank then i put it in the soil... it took them "2 WEEKS" to germinate, i nearly lost hope i thought they were dead or something.. but they sprouted and these are their photos i just took them today (1 week after sprouting).

These are malawi gold seeds, they say they're the best in africa, i also think they are..

is that what you're supposed to do? ( serious question)
if so i think i'm adding this to my ultimate FAQ which i'll be posting up by mid sept. ( giving myself a late release date so i don't have people nagging if it does get attention )

and yes, you are supposed to do that, they are stretchy like an old man's balls.

Agreed

My plant Lucinda had the bottom leaves fall off when she was young so I planted her deep up to the first set of leaves and now she's looking good. Just started her on 12/12 monday, hoping to see signs of sex nest week :mrgreen:

thanx for the help.. at first i was happy that they were growing so long.. but then i had a feeling that something wasnt right lol...

an FAQ to end all FAQs mostly to prevent further schmall's incidents and such. mostly just for mad +reps though

Is this better? or do i still need to get the plants closer to the light?
the light is 36W 6500K..
and i filled the pot with soil, i tried to dig the plant deeper but i was afraid that if i touched the root it might die

you can get it closer man, if you can get a makeshift reflector above that lamp to distribute the light evenly you'd be sorted.

Get some white paint, posterboard, anything white around your plants... You're losing all that precious light to that dark wood surrounding them!

Thats my 4 cents... 2 cents didn't seem to cut it with inflation and all.

and you want that bulb almost touching them, like an inch away, just check every day that it isn't actually touching.

I used a mylar emergency blanket for my reflectors, $2 at Wal-mart.
