Dear plantprofessors of RollItUp,

I have two baby-plants that have an issue maybe.
Both plants live in the same DWC with ph of 5.8-6.2, and EC of 1760. I am currently lowering my EC as much as i can, it's way too high :wall:
I also added a new light yesterday, it now has 4x55Watt TNeon, Previously it hd 2x55W TNeon.
My question: Do you think my high EC causes the fowwing two issue?

Plant1:
Has a leaf with brown points, i just noticed today, this plant is 1 week old from seed.

Plant2:
Has a scar? I think maybe i hit it with something or perhaps a drop of PH-Down or Up hit it?

If you know, please let me know.
Meanwhile i will continue with operation lower EC. :D

The browning on the tips is likely from the ec being too high as you suspected, I would bet money on the damage on the leaf coming from a drop of some chemical and the combination of light and that chemical is to blame.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I have managed to get my EC down to 1.55 by now. (I have a DWC design with adjustable lid, so i moved the lid up and added fresh PH neutral water.)
Water comes in at 0,7, so i guess my 'food EC' is 0.85 EC (500ppm?)
Wich i think is ok for this stage of the growth. Early growth.

Maybe i should get a ppm meter instead, this EC stuff is making me dizzy.
