I need help from expert grower

ok, before I ask my question here is the score on my plant. fyi, I've never grown before.

1. This plant is about 3 months old
2. it's only about 6 inches
3. it has white hairs in sets of 2 growing mainly from the top.
4. except for the size, it looks very healthy. just small.
5. it's mainly an out door plant but has been moved indoors during cold weather.

I know under the best conditions, plants only need 3 months to grow. my question is under the conditions that I stated, how long would it take my plant to bud up? I'm almost positive it's female but like I said, I've never grown before.

Well the reason its only 6 inches tall it cause it stops growing when it flowers. Definitely sounds like you got a lady which is good. I would keep her going for another year, let her veg in the spring and then she will try flowering again in the late summer. Make sure she gets lots of light now, and not a lot of water because most plants dont use much in the winter

its possible that you needed a bigger pot like 2 months ago and the plant is rootbound and is no longer growing

depending on if the plant is indica or sativa it could take between 8-12+ weeks to finish flowering. which, by the way wont begin untill you light schedule is 12/12 off/on

so your best course of action would be to get a big pot(atleast 1 gal, up to 5) let you plant recover and maybe grow some more and then switch to flower

Not sure why you though you needed an expert. sound like you have a female either showing pre flowers or starting to bud. When you say your moving it indoors do you have a light? or just sitting it by the window? get a light and it will bud faster and finish in timely manner, with the natural lighting (past harvest time or you wouldn't have to move it) it will bud but not produce much unless your getting good lighting through the window. Sounds as if its past natural harvest time in your area or you would have no need to move it indoors. Get some lighting on it and you should see the buds form faster than waiting and make sure its getting complete darkness for 12 hours daily. has to be completely dark
