So, after recovering from over-watering over-nuting my outdoor plants, I came down yesterday to find one of my plants completely cut in half. After a lot of troubleshooting I realized the problem was that I used twist ties (garbage bag ties) with a thin wire center, to tie my stakes to the plants. As the plant stem grew in thickness the wire chocked the stem and cut in to it, and cut right through the stem wall. YIKES! I'm kicking myself for not thinking of this.
Is there a way to repair the stems at this point?
