One of my purple #1 plants that has been flowering for over 2 weeks is starting to yellow from the bottom up. I ph the water every feeding and always allow lots of runoff to drain. The other 2 p#1 are fine. This one was my favorite to because it has some eleven pointed leaves. Now thier turning all light green. Whats goin on?

Mine did the same thing when I started flowering.. New growth is usually light green.. dont read to much into it... stay on your feed, water, water, feed schedule that I assume you are on and it will be ok...These pics are at 2 weeks flowering and 4 weeks flowering..

deeznutz11 I have never seen a pot plant with leaves that yellow that was not dying. Must bein the genetics? What strain was that and how was the smoke? Very cool looking plant!

Not sure I dont want to thread hyjack so check my threads to see her grow... I think the yellow could be do to nitrogen def... check your ppms and maybe ad a tad more veg nutes to your feed..

No it's not.
If they are yellowing, give it some veg nutrients. What are you feeding it?

I agree with Ganjababy.... yellowing at only 2nd or 3rd week of flowering... sounds like the beginning of a problem.

I'm having a similar problem and it's driving me up a wall. I grow hempy method in Perlite/Coco mix... but this time I tried a few plants in 100% Perlite. A few weeks into flowering my plants started turning yellow.... one especially badly. Currently they are being fed Botannicare nutes at 800 PPM and I'm using a Cal/Mag supplement.... PH is always at 5.7 - 5.8 going in.

Sooooo I took a PH reading of all 4 plants runoff.... the fucking PH runoff was 4.5  WTF?????

I flushed the plants thouroughly with 5.8 water... I flushed at least 3 times the pot size and STILL.... runoff was 4.5 :wall:

Today I flushed again... this time with water going in at 7.2.... FINALLY got the runoff down to 5.7. I won't be watering again for 3 days and I'm going to be really interested to see what the runoff will be when I feed them with 5.8 going in again. If it drops back down to 4.5 again I may rip the fuckers out and strangle them  Anyway... needless to say the next grow I'm going back to a perlite/coco mix....

Anyhooo.... have you PH'd the runoff???? Could be a clue... it certainly was for me :D

PH buffered nutes like Supernatural prevent PH problems. Also adding dolimite lime to your soil will keep PH correct. Leaves yellowing during flower is pretty normal. Not during veg.

When I checked them just a while ago the yellow leaves looked pretty bad and wilted but the yellowing hasnt spread like I thought it would. Its pretty much left the untouched foliage alone.

I had this problem for a while too. It is becuase they are not getting enough food. It is either that your pH is off and the plant is not getting to absorb the right nutes in the right amounts or that the plant is not getting fed enough. If it is not getting fed enough it could either be that you are not adding enough nutes when you are watering or you are not watering enough. Mine seemed to be all three at different times.

First check you pH like they were saying. Check the runoff. Flush but flush with water pHed to 5.8. Flush it out by flushing it with 3x the volume of the pot. Make sure you do the flush so the first half of the flush is plain phed water, then the second half is like 1/4 strenght nutes.

You have to think about how far apart your waterings are too. If you are watering every 3 days check your soil on day 2. It may be wet on top for some reason but dry below. Maybe just try watering it a day earlier for a week and see if there are any ill effects.

I donno but it seems like when that happened to me all the yellow leaves will die off. There is really nothing that you can do about it. You just have to hope that your plants survive. This may be one of those 'learning experience' things. You will have to see..

Cool info. Like I said though My runoff ph is always between 6.2 and 6.4 and I usually water with 6.2. My other plants that are on the same diet (fox farm granulars, tiger bloom, big bloom until I change over to organic) and out of the 3 only this one has gotten sick. and I always let my soil dry out and water my plants before they start to wilt.

You are all crazy, it's perfectly normal ,as long as the newer growth is healthy and the buds are growing leave it alone and keep doing what you are doing. I nute burned my plants trying to solve this and it jsut kept going anyway. Stop BSing to him.
