indica or sativa question

Do indica and sativa plants have lighter green color as opposed to dark green? I noticed some of my plants have various shades of green and was wondering if this was an indication of it's genetics. Also width of leaves is supposed to be a sign of indica or sativa too?:-|

Generally, sativas should produce lighter green leaves than indicas. Sativas are inherent to equatorial regions where there is abundant light and thus no need for so much chlorophyll as in northern latitudes, natural residence of many indicas, where light is more scarce forcing the leaves to compensate by producing more chlorophyll and so appearing darker in color.

Leaf colorations differ so much, u should really just look at the shape of the leaves, if they r long, and narrow, and the plant is tall, and lanky, it's probably a Sativa variation, if the leaves are wider and shorter, and the plant is a bit shorter and perhaps a little more bushy, then it's likely an indica variation...
