info please is this nornal when nearing harvest pics

i have got 1 lr2 and 1 unknowin seed growing they both are 7 weeks in to flowering in soil under 400w hps but the bottom leafs are turning yellow and i have noticed leafs higher up are now turning yellow .

is this the plant just taking all its sugar from the leafs ????

is this normal please help i gettin worry,d now as this is my first grow and they are my babys :(
 
It's normal but the plants look in bad shape. Severely stretched and not much bud. Better luck next time bro.
 
hmmmm... they dont look close to finish to me.....
They did stretch alot... but you might wanna check on your strain to make sure how long it takes to finish, cause the buds are soo little.... and your under a 400watt lamp.... maybe they really need to go a few weeks more.....
if that is the case... then you are having an N deficiency.... you need to keep giving your plants grow ferts even in flowering..... cause its still gonna need that extra Nitrogen....
And yeah its kind of normal for a plant to start yellowing as you get closer to harvest but thats mostly because of flushing... if you kept giving them ferts even a week before the actual harvest many of the leaves wont yellow ...

Friday people get burned out answering basic questions. Can I put my soil plant into hydro filled with light beer?
or I have a 5000w light in a Rubbermaid tote that I have been pissing on and filling with table scraps, why does it smell like the dump burning?

haha that happens all the time here. Not @ other sites so much but here it always has happened. :hump:

Ive seen a lot of off the wall simple stuff answered wrongly today.
You guys should hurt their feelings when you see a noob posting wrong information as advice. Make them realize they have more to learn and maybe they will get back to doing that primarly here.

Dont get me wrong, everyone can still learn something...but telling someone to flush for an undernute:confused::confused::confused:
 
snypavat the plant in question is a lowryder#2 auto flower so in turn you only get 1oz off plant at most so thats why they aint all bushy like other plants and dont produce much bud .

When you say keep giving them veg ferts do you mean in addition to flowering ferts? My flowering ferts have N in them. I've been letting my plants go totally yellow in the last week or two for the past couple grows. I used to keep em green all the way through but i noticed they tasted a lot better if I let them yellow off before harvesting. Yield is reduced a little but the smoke always truns out really mellow.

so what is this yellowing your speaking of caused by? If its a lack of nutrients no wonder they taste better, your not smoking chemicals:-?
Flowering nutrients have N in them yes, but still too low of a concentration to keep the plant from eating its leaves before the end of its life cycle has ended on a general basis.

Yeah, defenatly in addition to your flowering fert.... for example... if your flowering fert says you can use between 1 ml and 5 ml, and your veg fert says the same, you can give 3ml of flowering fert, and lets say.... 1 or 2 ml of vegging fert, depending on if the leaves are going yellow far too early or too fast... and about the bud tastin better after leaves have yellowed, thats when youve flushed some people like to flush 10 days before some 3, and some much more..
I like to flush depending on the size of the pot, but for a 7 liter pot to an 11 liter pot i would flush 14 days.... and the leaves do yellow off in those 2 weeks... but thats cause its eating up allll the fert left in the soil, its basically kind of cruel cause its like starving your plant, but its all for the better of the smoke;)
