I'm going with a underground and completely off the grid system, here are my plans:
btw very remote area
Building:
I'm starting by building a 6 by 6 chamber [possibly 6 by 8] with a 4ft door [making a tunnel underground] and two four inch holes for my ducts which will be buried and about 10-15 ft from my chamber.
Electrical:
Now, I am going to be using a 500 - 750 watt inverter with as many deep cycle batteries as needed, I'd say 3-5 b/c I'll have to switch them out and charge them. I do not know how often I would have to switch the batteries out, but it would be nice to do to about every 1.5 - 2 days.
I have been looking into using 3 50 watt LED lights. Each one with cover a 3ft by 3ft area, at least that's what I have been told. So, that is 150 watts right there.
I'm using 2 4inch duct fans, one coming in and one going out.
Each duct fan is 30 watts, so 60 watts.
I want to use a 18-24inch floor fan to keep the air moving about in the chamber. I'd say a 40 watt fan at the very most.
So, all together that's a 250 watt system.
But I do not know how many watts a small submersible pump runs off of.
If you do, let me know.
This is my 3rd project, so I know all the cycles and all.
My main question is if it is possible to power a 250w-300w system using a power inverter and deep cycle batteries? Also, how many batteries I would need to purchase.
Is 3 50w LED lights enough?
The guy at the store said it is, but I need to know from someone who actually has used them or knows more about them then I do.
I have never used nutrients before, but I would like to with this project.
Let me know the best soil to use and nutrients.
The 24h lighting worries me with the power inverter.
Please let me know the pros and cons of this.
Thanks dudes
I have many questions, but I will just start with those.
