look on ebay you can find a digital one for around 25 shipped

You really need to be able to accuritly measure the ph - ebay.

you can use your tongue. If its tart, that means a low pH. The tarter, the lower. Vice-versa on it being a base. Not trying to be a smart ass, but it works and its the cheapest.
