Is this the first sign of flowering ??? :)

I see some white shiny hairs starting to grow out on the stalk of an autoflowering strain called White Widow. the pic attached shows it but the whitish color doesn't stand out as much in the picture. Its a curled up piece in front and another piece sticking out on the other side of the stalk. Thanks.

Can I ask why auto flower? I don't think I've ever asked someone before lol. I'm old school (first grew in 2001 but was into it long before that) so don't like Fem'd seeds either but I ran a few and have great reason not to like them. I get the appeal harvest in 70 days from seed or whatever but potency and yield are not there. You're a first time grower I understand that so auto offered an easier route and you don't want to take clones or you wouldn't be doing auto at all but still if you're just going to grow from seed each grow I guess I'd go fem just so I know every seeds a girl but reg seeds and cloning your keepers is the bee's knees I have heard first hand so many stories of "i didn't clone her but she's the best I've ever had" I did that with a sour diesel 3-4 years ago, can't find her anywhere now.

Autoflower would be great outdoors though, if you had a place you could through a few, they would stay like only 3ft tall and be done before the pickers were out looking for things.

Well, as someone who is growing autos, I can attest to why I use them. I have limited height, limited light space and limited length but not width, except the width height gets reduced dramatically to nothing usable. No other space/room to start seedlings/clones nor the ability to stagger my harvests with photoplants with one space/light. So one auto gets popped, 3-4 weeks later, another popped, and so on under the same space, same light. Best I can do under my current circumstances. Otherwise I'd be using non autos :D
 
Looks like a little girl too me, im currently growing a Trans Siberian auto, day 48, 88 cm tall, started flowering on day 35, meant too be a 65 to 75 day strain, might need 80 or more days, starting too build frost =))
