Jeffersons Ark and his diluvial drain

Hi peeps,

I am running flood and drain with Hydroton as the grow medium, and QB boards as lights. Raspberry Cough and Amherst Sour Diesel are the strains.

I have learned a lot from reading this and other sites on the web, so I'll post a thread with my little personal medical grow, maybe someone will enjoy it.

I am running 30 plants in baskets using Hydroton, and I cover the table with white plastic, and tape it down at the sides. Then I cut slits and put the clones. I used to clone in Rockwool, but now I built an aerocloner so I simply put the clone directly into the baskets with the Hydroton.

My table looks like this with the baskets before it is covered to give you an idea:


Then once it is covered with the clones it looks more like this; some of the clones were doing better than others:



Anyhow the clones were really rough from the Rockwool clone so they needed about 4 weeks of Veg, topped once. Here are the roots right before I flipped them. I figured out that the roots were going to cover the mushroom siphon valve and cause a flood, so I pointed the water pump elbow directly at the siphon valve to keep the roots away. Seems to be working.



Flooding them 12 times a day for 15 minutes per right now.

Thanks dude! Here some today at 42 days. It's a bitch keeping humidity down with these things like 6 ' tall now . New dehu on the way

Day 55 of this Amherst Sour Diesel ...another 7 days or so for this half of the table. Thank god. I lost two tops to a bit of bud rot but the rest looks fine. New dehu keeping room under 50. Still on track for 4+ lbs.

Unreal J, you make it look too easy. how long will fatties like that take dry n cure man..

ok if i ask what nutes your using....this is dtw or flood and drain maybe recir? looks dialed in man, using ro water or tap...thx......Heck of of a job for a small personal grow..i bet if u get that humidity down low itd be killer

Ya weather we had here has been like 40C last while but has cooled down now so I'm able to keep canopy humidity under 50% for now. Plus the dehu kept kicking out, now I have that figured out.

I use MegaCrop + a 0-50-30 PK boost (DNF nutrients). It's flood and drain but it's almost a hybrid between DWC and F&D since I flood like 12-18 times a day for 15 minutes per. I'm using water from the lake which has an EC of like 0.2 . Last run was 3.25lbs no rot, this summer has been super hot and humid, never mind I could not do this with my old HPS lights in the summer at all.

Oh shit, the drying question, well I will cut them off the stems and lay just the buds in the meshed drying rack (might even make some of those gigantic ones smaller), point a fan in that direction and it will probably take 4-5 days to where I can smoke it. Curing it will take another 3 weeks, but it should be fine to smoke after 4-5 days. This is how I have done it forever and it always works out well for me. One guy I gave my 4-5 day old dry bud too said it was "cured perfectly" lol. So it is killer even after short dry period if done right.

Man these things are huge. I think these are the fattest buds I've ever grown and they still have two weeks to go...
