Johnnys dry ring experiment

So I grow in a room with wood floors and all weather carpet on them and I like to use cloth pots. After reading something @bk78 wrote on someone elses post I decided to do something about the wet no air floor issue I have before he called me out on it...20210424_122406.jpg20210424_122258.jpg20210424_122251.jpg20210424_122239.jpg20210424_123350.jpg20210424_123401.jpg20210424_125237.jpg20210424_125303.jpg. I plan to remove the floor in the near future(when the wife ain't lookin) so in the mean time I came up with this solution and hope it works.
Note: I always carry my plants outside to water them and then let them sit a couple hours and carry them back inside.
I took and cut the top rings off of 3 gallon plastic pots, drilled holes in them. They fit perfectly under 4 gallon cloth pots. I tested it by watering a plant and setting it in there on the ring and waited a while, checked the carpet underneath and it was dry. I just did 10 plants and will check the floor tonight and see

Saucers are cheap tbh. For many years I just used some deli tray lids I got at my local market (free) and shale rocks. For so many reasons I wouldn’t drain to the floor. But that’s just me.

This is just nuts. Who the hell wants to grow carpet? And then I see it's your outdoor room.

Seriously. Put some tarp down and be safe. No matter what you're going to pick up some mold on the carpet.

And I'm in a legal state.

I got Ruby skunk, lem dog, chem squeezy, lost cause, military chocolate and 9d4 currently growing in a tent.

So I can pretend to know what I'm doing.

I was really just trying to get the pots off the floor so air can circulate under the pots. The carpet is plastic and under it is plastic laminate over pressure treated plywood. As I said up top I don't water inside at all, the go outside, get watered, sit all day and go back in at night so no run off
