keeping seeds fresh...

i got a bag full of seeds of some regular weed nothing special but i want to keep them fresh and ready for when i get my own place...do i just keep it in a bag in a dark place or keep it in the freezer??? and i had another ??? if i got some green from my dealer and it looked dry and smelled good if i was to keep it in a jar for a week will it come out better like the smell and smoke???
