Lets talk about "timers"

So, the last time I grew any plants indoors was many years back, the only timers available were the dial type analog timers.....
I'm close to the point where I will be in need of a few timers, one for the main flowering area "lamp", and in an effort to greedily, streamline the efficiency of power consumption, I'm considering running the exhaust system I have in place, on a timed cycle to completely exchange the total volume of air in both veg and flower areas, every five minuets....
With the help of an expert in heating and cooling systems, I have the proper CFM value worth of inline fans to achieve this, without having to run the fans 24/7....Anybody else doing this????
The way its figured, the exhaust only needs to run for 3 mins, then can rest for 6 mins, that leads me to my question...
With these new programmable, digital timers/power strips, in all there modes and such, does anybody know of a specific brand/ style of gadget that can be programmed to a repeatable loop of that structure?
I have found several that are programmable in 1 min increments, but I before I order them I wanted to ask if anyone knows if I can set the ON and OFF independently in a continuous, repeatable cycle.....?

As far vas the 12/12 timer, nothing wrong with the "old school" analog timer like I had back in the day, I'm sorta a throwback anyways.....
