light cycles

Its been 1 and a half weeks sience i planted my first seed. the plant is almost 2 inches tall. right now its on 24/7 light. when should i change the on-off cycle. i was thinking in 3 days i was going to have lights 18 on 6 off. then after it was 12 inches i was going to flower it. by going 12 on 12 off.

I leave mine on 24/0 until they are ready to flower

well there are so many opnions are he i dont know which one to choose the Grow Faq says 18-6 these guys say 24/7 the other guy says 24/7 light makes more males. I mean which one is it?

i have heard the 24/0 creates more males/hermies but am dubious. I'm willing to hear the proof though.

A real reason to use 18/6 is if your lights are very hot making your temps too high. The six hours of darkness should help cool the room down.

my temps stay fine so i leave my lights on 24 x 7 until i switch to 12/12 - same as Endoe.

i do 24 on for the first week. then 18-6 for 2 weeks. then flower. i also have a crop that went 12/12 from seed and its the best looking bud i ever grew
