Light Fixture question

Hi all, I have a quick question about light fixtures.

As of now Iam using a basic 25w CFL for a small closet setup. It seems to work fine but I want to upgrade obviously.

I found these lights in my garage, they are the ones you put outside that are in a square fixture, one is halogen but the other is a 300W T3 Fluorescent.

Only problem is that it has no fixture or cord, its just the light bulb and the reflector/socket it sits in and two wires. I was wondering what I need to do to get this light running as I have no instructions with it. Can I just cut a cord for another light and splice that together and plug it into the wall?

Or do I need a light fixture to wire it into and if so can I even do that since my room and closet have no light fixtures at all, only wall plugs. Is there a way to wire one from the outlet?

Thanks in advance! =)

if you have to ask dont do it lol...you basically need to wire in a cord to use that if you dont know much about electric though i would go buy a 400w hps for flowering and just grab a couple more compact flouros for vegging...maybe higher wattage though, i use 100w compact flouros. you wont get the same results without an hps for flowering that is pretty much the only way to get a decent yield of killer compact nugs. you can spend money rewiring that light you have or you can spend a hundred more and do it right!!

Kinda agree with Kermie, if you have to ask, it's prob. safer for you if you don't try it...........NOT trying to be a dick, but for the time and trouble, even if you do stick a cord to it, you will still have to figure out how you want to mount it, and you can grab 300w of CFL's or something else for right around 100 bucks.
Either grab yourself some CFL's and cheap outdoor porch light swiveling fixtures or bath fixtures that will take 3 or 4 bulbs each from Lowe's or something, or check out EBAY or Craigslist for some used goodies.

Take advice from the above posts. If you're not completely certain of what you're doing with wiring, just don't do it.

What is your budget for new/additional lighting? Once you have a figure in mind, people here can help you decide what's best for you and for your grow space.
