Light timers

Just planted a seed yesterday and ive had it under a light for at least 30 hours, i also want to conserve energy, i wanna know how long i should keep the light on for and how long for it to be off using automatic light timer

18/6 is preffered to save energy, but what are you usin cfls?

im using the swirly light bulbs its just for one plant

If you have just 1 you can run it 24/0 your fridge comsumes alot more than 1 of those. If it's 26 watts you would only notice a 10 cent raise in your eclectro bill

alright, i just don't want a fire to occur, haha that would suck, and how long will it take to sprout any idea?

You cannot start a fire with cfls unless you break it and the worst thing about breaking one is mercury. Try the paper towel method and place it in a warm spot like on top of you cable box should sprout germ within a day. if they are in soil already you should have pre soaked in distilled water for 24 hours then planted. So if they are in soil mist them and cut a 2 litlre bottle in half and place over the pot with the light right on top.
