I'v been vegging 24 hours a day
is there and advantage to doing a 18/6?

I've tried both 24/0 and 18/6 and didn't notice much of a difference. The plants under 24 hrs of light grew quicker to start with, the first week or so, but then the others caught up and they ended up being about the same yield with 4 weeks of veg time.
Therefore I go with 18/6 for the energy savings.
