can some one tell me witch is better, 600 or 1k witch bulbs are the best Mh and HPS. witch is better naked vertical or horizontal in a hood with a glass heat shield i am on my first grow now and have just started my roll it up account. i have 2 600 sunsystem ballasts with sun master Mh conversion bulbs and GE HPS i am in the 3rd almost 4th week of flowering now i have 30 plants in a 8x11 room. i feel like my buds my be smaller than most at this point. would love some info on how to better my room will post pictures at about 11 becuase they are sleeping untill 10 untill then can any one help a "stranger" out??!!

You could either have one 1k light on a light mover, or dual 600's w/out mover... Both will work exceptional.

I would suggest you not to do more than 8 big plants under the 1000 for maximum yields.

If your crowding your plants together, you will never get high yields.


The best 1000 hps bulb would be the eye hortilux. 145000 lumens and they put out.

For the 600, Iam not sure..never used one.

As far as the ferts are concerned, I have had great success with fox farms full line for soil and hydro use.

IMHO, The best hood would probably be the sun systems vertizontal reflector.

The bulb mounts horizontally, yet still works as if its a vertical ..Best of both worlds.

Use Hps throughout your grow, and do not use conversion bulbs.

They have low output.

how much space per plant would you think? i do think they are crowded but i will post a pic later to show.

thanks im going to check out those hoods

i have been using the 2 part sensi grow and bloom along with other ferts from advanced what do you think about them?

i thought that using hps bulbs stretch your plants too much and cause uneaven node spacing? does this matter too much if i have 10' ceilings?
