hey guys i just transplanted 2 of my seedlings into there final homes, i was using some shitty soil before but now there in ffof with some more perlite that i added. the transplant didnt go as smooth as i hoped and a lot of the soil fell out of the cups. its been about 36 hours scince i did it and both plants have been standing on there own for most of it. so is it safe to continue my 18/6 schedule or should i leave the lights on for a another day or 2 and then go back to it?

you can go back to 18/6 ,

your plants will be fine my man ,

just fill it back up with more soil where it fell out ...

Water before u transplant and the soil want fallout , at the transplanting stage they should have enough roots to hold the wet soil in place. THe lighting I haven't experianced anything bad from going str to 18/6 after transplant .

The plants begin to take water out of the soil when it evaporates off their leaf surfaces. All you are really doing by keeping the lights off is stopping the plants from trying to draw water out of the new soil, and actually slowing any new root growth, Doesn't really matter how successful of a transfer I've had, the plants always look a little uncomfortable after.

thanks guys, i just turned the lights off and will turn them back on in about 6 hours...well see what happens...i love turning the lights back on and seeing the growth
