List three things you learned from last grow.

1 - Use a Calendar (don't be impatient) - I got my outdoor starts began way too early. Ended up buying a smaller tent for starts (canna and non-canna) to resolve the issue, but if I had waited a month to begin germing my next round, it would have saved me a headache.
2 - longer veg does not automatically improve yield - looking a little smaller on wet wait, despite the 6 mo grow. Harder to compare given different genetics.
3 - 1212, no veg, is a legit strategy. I potted an extra cindy99 in a 1 gal pot, with no more than 2 or 3 weeks of veg after germination. and threw it into my big tent to flower with my 5gallon gals. 66g of wet timmed bud. I am going to run my clone tests under no/limited veg for my next run.

I didnt run a whole new run yet but I learned something major from all my runs combined. Treat mothers like they give off spring of similar performance. Every few generations or so you have to do a mini pheno hunt to re mother that plant. Do not take clones of clones.

They may grow fine but if you are like me being extracts only.. I literally lose cash money so I urgantly tracked everything every time. Im losing large amounts of hash.

If you perpetuate weak stunted genetics which isnt always seen until the harvest results are in.. You end up perpetuating damaged genetics. They all start to perform poor. So I am doing my first breeding like task of selecting the best called a controlled reversal hunt with what I have left.

If I find that winner again I cull the bad and mother the best. The idea is that cuts from that likely will perform again, but need to run if a few times in different positions in flower room to rule out enviormental advantage. This happens fast, I lost my pheno in like 2 yrs 7 generations that I might still recover.

Its a numbers game but keeping 6 clones growing the way I intend to allows me to evaluate performance better. Otherwise I wont see certain things like flower yield and just a more accurate test. Not a teat lab of the enviorment, but the enviorment itself being tested with test clones.

This is where taking notes in your journal finally becomes relevant. Idk about you but I didnt really known what to note but ended up noting bare minimum. It wasnt too bad but now I know what to note. Same thing I already was just with a little more comprehensive details.

It would potentially be faster to pop a new seed but I need to learn to preserve a pheno and restore it. As I literally will have to every few generations anyway so might as well start now.

I was learning the basics first, that hand trimming can double yield, 60/60 preserves quality and some yield. Now this. That losing a pheno can do it too. I think Il be ready after this. Was very sloppy about it. The idea is that you will bring back predictability in high performance instead if having no clue.

Im talkin 7-8oz flower to 20% flower rosin about an oz and a half rosin every time. To 5oz and 12% which is less than an oz. You may not notice these things in flower but if you pressed it all and relied on it, maybe youd see how your genetics had indeed lost a lot of their zing.
